Rain Modes

How is determined which users will catch your coins when you make it rain?!? Thats what the "Rain Modes" are for.

To enter "Rain Mode" press the "Rocket Button" and then choose "Rain Mode":

There are two options at the moment to choose from ...

Nearby Gets Most

The idea behind this mode is: "The closer another user is to your location, the more coins he or she collects."

If somebody is really really close and the next person is for example in the next city ... its very likely that the close person to you will catch almost all coins of your rain using the "Nearby Mode".

But rains are always a little bit unpredictable - especially on big rains - some coins can still dripple down world wide.

All Get Equal

The idea behind this mode is: "Spread the rain coins equal between as much shibes online as possible."

If you wanna make it rain world wide - this is the mode to use.

Shibe Type Analysis

The app will tell you and show based on the ratio of (the coins you collected from other users) and (the coins you made rain) what kind of shibe you are. Coins collected from sponsored rains are not counted.

Types of Shibe

At the top of the "History Panel" you can see your statistics and what type of shibe you are.

To get to the "History Panel" press the "Rocket Button" and then choose "History":

There are 5 types of shibes so far:

  • Generous Shibe
  • Giving Shibe
  • Throw-Back Shibe
  • Collecting Shibe
  • Leecher Shibe

... what type of shibe will you be?!? :D

Background Color

The ratio of giving and collecting will also influence the background color of your app.

Red is for collecting and leeching shibes. Green is for giving and generous shibes.

Choose wisely my young apprentice :D

Item Inventory

Some rains you catch with the app may contain extra items. Those items get added to your inventory automatically.

To open the inventory - press the Wallet-Button on the main screen:

You can shuffel thru your inventory using the left and right arrows or delete items with the trash can button.

Items can be of different kinds - most common are:

  • Coupons
  • Charity Donations
  • Rewards for visiting Websites
  • Rewards for installing another App
  • ....

You can activate items by clicking the blue action button below the item. Some items can just be activated one time. Some items are just valid until a certain date.

To get to the "Highscore Panel" press the "Rocket Button" and then choose "Highscores:

Biggest Rains Ever

Those are the biggest rains ever users made on the dogerain app since highscore reset in the beginning of 2015.

Biggest Rains Recently

Here the biggest rains within the last 24h (round about) get listet.

When every you make a entry in the highscore you can hear and see in the results of a rain made.

What is a Blockchain?

In Short

All dogecoin transfers are recorded in a computer file that acts as a public ledger called the "block chain".

Everybody can download the block chain or inspect it online:

There is a good Video on YouTube explaining what a blockhain is in more detail:
